From a personal perspective abortion is not morally wrong. Abortion critics from my assessment are men or women who have an apprehension to others making decisionsthat provide personal benefits. Society is so structured that if a practice does not align with purposes of influential, rich and powerful people then it isundesirable. Minorities through structured inequality merely are compelled to agree with wishes of politicians and policy makers asthese minoritiestry to live ‘sociable acceptable lives’ designed based on paradigms advanced by influentialpeople in the society. Teenage pregnancy and abortion are two such issues termed social problems that are highlighted within this context (Alford, 2003).

According to David Wendler (1999), who correctly took a stand on the issue, the institutions, which lead people to adapt specific approaches towards abortion may be independent of what is philosophically regarded as the best arguments for the point of view (Wendler, 1999). Consequently, in offering a philosophical analysis regarding the morality of abortion practice more confusion may be created since conflicting personal interest are fueled into the abortion reality (Wendler, 1999).

For example, quoting Marquis (1999) it was advanced that abortion is morally incorrect because of the natural process of fetal development.Again who in societydecides whether an action is immoral or not? Clearly, people termed influential who have no clue to the experiences of persons on whomjudgment is passed. Therefore, in my point of view abortion is not immoral. What does the fetus care about human thinking? (Thompson, 1971).

People living in a world of injustice, starvation, deprivation due to exploitation of man by man is more immoral. The fetus is safe in the womb whether being there until a full gestation or expelled earlier. Who cares about a decision a woman makes about her body, when she has no food, place tom life, job and is physically/emotionally abused daily? This ought to be a portion of the abortion debate instead of natural process of fetal development(Thompson, 1971).
